Shelfsound

Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 5, 2026

Shelfsound is an audiobook player for MP3 files you already own. It is published by Carlos Castillo (touchdata.pe). This policy explains what happens to your information when you use the app. The short version: nothing leaves your device.

Information we collect

We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. Shelfsound has no accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind. The app does not connect to the internet.

Your audiobooks

When you add an audiobook, the audio files and cover image you choose are copied into the app's private storage on your device. Your library, listening position, playback speed, and other settings are also stored only on your device. We never see or receive any of this data.

If your device is set to back up app data (for example iCloud Backup or Google device backup), that data may be included in your device backup, which is governed by Apple's or Google's privacy policies — not ours.

Permissions

Sharing

We do not sell, share, or disclose any information to third parties, because we don't have any.

Children

Shelfsound does not collect information from anyone, including children under 13.

Deleting your data

Remove a book from the library inside the app, or uninstall Shelfsound, to delete all of its data from your device.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
